About the course
This course is for teachers and other education staff who want to build and keep good working relationships with their learners in an organised, safe and engaging learning environment.
We look at the principles behind rules, instructions, groupings and error correction, and at modern approaches to motivation, behaviour and assessment.
Who it is for
Teachers at any stage of their career, mentors of new teachers and school leaders.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- establish classroom rules learners understand and accept
- apply the principles behind instructions, groupings and error correction
- use new ideas for assessment and for measuring progress
- change the roles of learners and teachers in a modern classroom to boost motivation
- apply and adapt the ideas in their own professional context
The week, day by day
Four hours of training in class every morning, plus field teaching in Split: 30 hours in all. The detailed timetable follows a few weeks before the course, when the group is final.

What the fee includes
480 EUR per participant
- All training: 30 hours, six mornings in class plus field teaching
- Course materials
- Certificate of attendance with hours and topics
- Europass Mobility support
Not included: travel, accommodation and meals. These are usually paid from the travel and individual support in your Erasmus+ grant.

A six-day structured course (30 hours) at Jantar – International House Split, Croatia, on classroom management. Participants work on classroom rules, instructions, groupings and error correction, motivation, difficult behaviour, mixed-ability groups, assessment and feedback, and draw up a classroom management plan for their own context. The course combines input, workshops and group work.
Practical questions
How long is a course and what are the daily hours?
Every course runs for 6 days, Monday to Saturday, from 09:00 to 13:00 each morning, plus field teaching: 30 hours in all, as stated on the certificate. Afternoons are free for Split. The detailed timetable is sent a few weeks before the course, when the group is final.

What will I receive at the end of the course?
A certificate of attendance stating the number of hours and the topics covered, as Erasmus+ reporting requires. If your organisation uses the Europass Mobility document, we complete the host-organisation part, with the learning outcomes of your course.
