The provider
The courses are organised by Učilište Jantar – ustanova za obrazovanje odraslih (Jantar – International House Split), Poljička cesta 26A, 21000 Split, Croatia; Erasmus+ OID E10020549. The courses take place at the same address.
The course and the fee
- Each course lasts 6 days, Monday to Saturday: training in class every morning, 09:00–13:00, plus field teaching, 30 hours in all. The courses are taught in English.
- The fee is 480 EUR per participant. It includes all training, course materials, the certificate of attendance and support with the Europass Mobility document.
- Not included: travel to and from Split, accommodation, meals, and any optional activities we may offer, which are always priced separately before you book them.
- The detailed timetable is sent a few weeks before the course, when the group is final.
Applying and payment
- Each participant applies for a specific course date with the form on this site.
- You can pay in two ways:
- by card when you apply, on Stripe’s secure payment page; or
- by bank transfer against the invoice we send by e-mail. On request we invoice your school or sending organisation. Bank charges are paid by the sender.
- Your place is guaranteed only when we have received the payment. Until then the application is a reservation.
- Full payment is due within one month of applying, and at the latest by the closing date of the course. If you apply less than a month before the closing date, payment is due by the closing date.
- If the payment has not arrived by the due date, we send a reminder; if it still does not arrive, the reservation lapses and the place may go to someone else.
- Please book travel only after we have confirmed that the course will run on your dates.
If you cancel
Cancellations must be sent by e-mail to teacher.training@jantar.hr. The date we receive the e-mail counts.
- 30 days or more before the course starts: we refund the fee minus an administration charge of 50 EUR.
- 8 to 29 days before: we refund half of the fee.
- 7 days or less before, or if you do not come: no refund.
- Erasmus+ grant not approved: if your organisation’s application is rejected, we refund the fee in full. Send us the decision within 14 days of receiving it.
- Visa refused: we refund the fee minus 50 EUR on receipt of the refusal.
- A colleague instead of you: another person from your organisation can take your place free of charge at any time before the course; just tell us the name.
- Another date: you can move once, free of charge, to another date of the same or another course within 12 months, if you tell us at least 30 days before your course.
If we change or cancel a course
- If a course cannot run (for example, too few participants), we tell you as early as possible and at least four weeks before the start where we can. You choose between a full refund of everything you paid us and a free move to another date or course.
- If we have to change the dates, the fee, the venue or the main content of a course, you can cancel free of charge and receive a full refund.
- We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs, which is why we ask you to book them only after our confirmation.
Events outside anyone’s control
If a course cannot take place, or you cannot travel, because of events neither side can control (natural disasters, serious transport disruption, official restrictions), we offer a free move to another date, or a refund minus costs we have already paid on your behalf. We provide the documents your organisation needs for an Erasmus+ force majeure claim.
Certificates and Europass
Participants who have paid the fee and attended the course receive a certificate of attendance stating the hours and topics. On request, we complete the host part of the Europass Mobility document.
