Questions teachers and coordinators ask

About the courses, Erasmus+ paperwork, booking and the week in Split. If your question is not here, write to us.

The courses

How long is a course and what are the daily hours?

Every course runs for 6 days, Monday to Saturday, from 09:00 to 13:00 each morning, plus field teaching: 30 hours in all, as stated on the certificate. Afternoons are free for Split. The detailed timetable is sent a few weeks before the course, when the group is final.

Where exactly does the course take place?

At our school, Jantar – International House Split, Poljička cesta 26A, 21000 Split, Croatia.

In which language are the courses taught?

In English. For the methodology courses you need English at A2 level or above, so that you can follow and take part in discussions. The English for Educators courses are for improving your English: one for levels A2 to B1, one for B2 to C1.

Who can take part?

Teachers of any subject and level, school leaders, and other staff of schools and adult education organisations. Several courses are written mainly for language teachers (VR in the Language Classroom) or for project staff (IT Tools in European Project Management); each course page says who it is for.

How big are the groups?

Most of our courses are small, which leaves room for everyone to take part and get individual feedback.

What does the course fee include?

The fee is 480 EUR per participant. It includes all training (30 hours), course materials, a certificate of attendance and support with the Europass Mobility document. Travel, accommodation and meals are not included.

Erasmus+ and paperwork

What is your OID?

Our Erasmus+ organisation ID (OID) is E10020549. The registered organisation is Učilište Jantar – ustanova za obrazovanje odraslih, Split, Croatia.

Is your organisation registered in Croatia? Does it have tax residence there?

Yes. Učilište Jantar – ustanova za obrazovanje odraslih is an adult education institution registered in Split, Croatia, with tax residence in Croatia. Jantar has taught languages in Split since 1992 and has been an adult education institution since 2010.

Can these courses be funded by Erasmus+?

They can be. They are structured courses for school and adult-education staff, the kind of activity Erasmus+ Key Action 1 (staff mobility) funds. Your organisation applies for the grant, or uses its accreditation, and books the course with us. Our guide to Erasmus+ funding explains the steps.

What will I receive at the end of the course?

A certificate of attendance stating the number of hours and the topics covered, as Erasmus+ reporting requires. If your organisation uses the Europass Mobility document, we complete the host-organisation part, with the learning outcomes of your course.

Can you help with the text of our Erasmus+ application?

Yes. Every course page has a short course description and learning outcomes you can adapt for your application or learning agreement, and we are happy to answer questions from your project coordinator.

Can several colleagues from one school come together?

Yes, and colleagues can choose different courses in the same week. Note that, under the rules introduced in 2025, Erasmus+ allows at most three participants from the same organisation on the same course; your national agency can confirm the rules for your project.

Are your courses listed in the European School Education Platform?

Since 27 May 2026 the course catalogue of the European School Education Platform no longer shows courses by external providers. Schools now book directly with course providers. Everything you need to choose a course is on this site, and we answer questions by e-mail.

Booking

How do I book a place?

Choose a course and a date on the Apply page and send the application form. Pay by card when you apply, or ask for an invoice and pay by bank transfer. Your place is guaranteed when we receive the payment. If no date suits you yet, write to us.

Should I book my flights straight away?

How and when do I pay?

Your week in Split

Do you arrange accommodation?

How do I get to Split?
