What is confirmed (31 October 2026)
- The European Commission adopted the 2027 annual work programme for Erasmus+ on 15 October 2026. It sets the maximum EU contribution for 2027 at about 6.2 billion EUR.
- 2027 is the last annual call of the 2021–2027 programme.
- In the 2026 call, applications for KA1 mobility in school, vocational and adult education, for accredited organisations (KA121) and short-term projects (KA122), were due on 19 February 2026 at 12:00 Brussels time. Accredited projects started on 1 June 2026; short-term projects could start on any date from 1 June to 31 December 2026.
- The rules introduced in 2025 still apply to the 2026 call: at most three participants from the same organisation on the same structured course, and one structured course per participant per project.
What is expected
- The 2027 call and Programme Guide are expected before the end of 2026; in recent years the call has been published in November or early December.
- The KA1 deadline for school, vocational and adult education is expected in February 2027, with projects starting from 1 June 2027.
- Unit costs and rules may be adjusted, as they are every year. Check the 2027 Programme Guide and your national agency before you finalise the budget.
Your national agency publishes the confirmed dates and runs information days. In Croatia this is AMPEU.
A timeline for schools
| When | What schools do |
|---|---|
| November 2026 | Agree needs and objectives; read the 2027 call when it appears; register the organisation and check its OID. |
| December 2026 – January 2027 | Choose activities and courses; draft the application; ask providers for outcomes and descriptions. |
| February 2027 | Submit before the deadline (expected; check the exact date and hour). |
| From June 2027 | Results; projects start; book course dates and select participants. |
Accredited (KA121) organisations follow the same deadline for their yearly budget request, and choose specific courses during the project.
Choosing courses now
A short-term (KA122) application describes the activities that will reach your objectives, so the months before the deadline are when most schools choose their courses. Our guide how to describe a structured course in your KA1 application shows what to write.
Every one of our twelve courses has learning outcomes, a day-by-day plan and a description you can adapt. For dates from June 2027, see courses in Split in summer 2027.
